Rauscher Farm

Clamshell Rd, Clinton
62 acres of Conservation Land with hiking trails, fishing, observing nature and many other activities. A large new map is posted on the side of the barn at the parking area. Please stay on clearly marked trails to protect both flora and fauna. Note that we have a fishing line disposal tube on the trail to Clamshell Pond.

Wachusett Reservoir Watershed

There are many trails at the Wachusett Reservoir open from dawn to dusk for hiking. The area right around the dam is within the Intake Protection Zone, with some extra rules. Beautiful views of the dam and reservoir with sitings of bald eagles and other wildlife common. You can choose trails that are level or steeply graded.

Forty Caves

Francis Street, Clinton
22 Acres in Clinton joins another 234 acres in Berlin. This area is managed by Sudbury Valley Trustees with marked and maintained trails. There is a parking area.

Counterpane Brook Conservation Area

457 Brook Street, Clinton
2.41 acres of rugged, wetland area. Beautiful small brook, very peaceful. This is sensitive wetland area with no maintained trails. We have held cleanup sessions to remove trash and control invasive species.

Wekepeke Watershed Area

Heywood Road, Sterling, MA
Over 500 acres owned by the Town of Clinton, this conserved area offers both man-made and natural features including dams, gate houses and spillways, views to lakes and basins, wetland areas, and passes by the Wekepeke Brook with beaver activity.

Lynde Basins Trail Map was created by Sterling Open Space Implementation Committee. The trail is 2.7 miles; the map marks features and includes a short history of the area.
